We often times plant a seed, thinking that if we simply nourish it a beautiful flower will bloom when in fact without the existence of sunlight germination will never occur.

Continue to plants seeds knowing that only once it has been exposed to the light will it truly manifest into the beautiful flowers it was meant to become.

The Game of Spit Fire
I was introduced years ago
No longer a member
Retired my uniform long before

Not that I don’t know the rules
Just choosing not to play the game of

For one’s judgment does not define me
for
I make love to peace every night
…before I close my eyes

I wake up to a subtle kiss from joy
…impressing a smile on my face

I have tranquility for lunch
…topped off with clarity for dinner

Spit Fire…
A revolutionist with-out a cause
Fighting for your right to expression

Sensing articulation
Amidst misguided ignorance
Don’t give up it…..even though it has already given up on you

You see my appetite has been filled
Filled with motivation
You arouse me to novel beginnings

An indignant exchange measured not by the truth of the word
but
by merely the intent

Forgive those who spit fire …smothered by the sorrow
Like an eclipse…nonexistent

Where is  my dress.....I have a date with PEACE!!

The most attractive quality a person can possess is simplicity

...simply observe
...simply listen
...simply trust
...simply embrace
...simply respect
...simply reflect

Numb Heart

I can only hurt if I choose to love
I can only offend if I empower insults
I can only complain if I choose to acknowledge displeasure
I can only disrespect if I decide to ignore

Somebody already numbed my heart……..

For he who instigated such feelings is only as dominant as I allow-

I have been paying attention to the power of love and the motivation of those who consciously decide on a daily basis to engage in activities which do not promote healthy spiritual maturation, and self reflection. You see each day you/we define our legacy and and the inability of so many to accept, forgive, trust and move forward incarcerates PEACE. I am paying attention to my contribution to a peaceful existence.
